The Ministry of Education and Merit is assigned the functions and tasks pertaining to the State in the field of school education, university and higher artistic, musical and dance training, scientific and technological research. In these three main channels of intervention, except for areas of competence reserved to other entities and bodies, the Ministry also performs functions of regulation, support and enhancement of the autonomy recognized to school, university, AFAM and research institutions.
